The project design and construction of the Third Set of Locks of the Panama Canal, constitutes one of the great engineering works in the XXI century.

The project's objective is to ensure that the Panama Canal to remain competitive, ensuring the growth and the validity of the waterway as a cornerstone of the country's maritime development.

United for the Canal (GUPCSA) continues the construction of two lock complexes, one in the Atlantic and Pacific, each with three water saving basins.

Excavations are currently underway in the water saving basins and in the chambers where they build the new locks. Preparation of surface where the locks are settled.
